Ok planning a bike trip in 2009 across Texas. looking for places to stay between el Paso and Del Rio. Need a place within 100 miles of El Paso first. Sierra Blanca looks good but no hotels. 100 miles is our limit per day.

Van Horn has about 16 hotels but bit further. There%26#39;s accomodation in Marfa, famous hotel El Paisano, but also budget accomodation. Also accomodation in Alpine. Marathon also has a famous hotel Gage Hotel. Sanderson has 3 hotels but we did not stay here. Langtry (a visit to the friendly Judge Roy Bean ';Law west of the Pecos'; center is highly recommended). Doubt about accomodation here.Also accomodation near Lake Amistad and heaps of hotels in Del Rio.

Can%26#39;t help you much on hotels near EP. Cities are spaced far apart out there, be sure to gas-up when the opportunity arises. Super-nice resort down near Lajitas, in Big Bend country, called The Ultimate Hideout. Golf %26amp; spa. It%26#39;s definately off the beaten path, but a very nice %26amp; secluded place. Just down the road is Terlingua, famous for the chili cook-offs each year. If you plan on spending any time in Del Rio, take a cab across to Acuna and experience a night over there. A bunch of us guys go across about once a year and it%26#39;s quite a time. Ma Crosby%26#39;s for dinner, Corona Club for drinks, etc. Have a good trip.
