hampton inn downtown

does anyone have any info on hampton inn downtown on bowie st. good or bad just some info thanks lots guys

never stayed at that one, but i%26#39;ve stayed at other hampton inns and found them to be a nice, clean place to stay. the downtown hampton inn is right next to I-37 and is close enough to the riverwalk and most downtown attractions that you could walk....(5 blocks to the riverwalk/Alamo)....hope this helps....

thanks ham. we know that when ever you go to a big city you always come across beggers but what im wondering is it safe in downtown. or do we have that to look forward to that at every corner.

you%26#39;ll see beggers/street people at all times of day, but the police keep them away from the touristy locations of the Alamo and Riverwalk, so you%26#39;ll be fine there....it%26#39;s just the first couple of blocks around the hampton inn could possibly be a little scary at night.....as long as you are in a group of people, you%26#39;ll be fine. otherwise, you can take a three minute taxi from the riverwalk to your hotel for a few dollars just to be on the safe side (you really would only need to do that late at night). personally, i think you%26#39;ll be fine as long as common sense is used. have fun, and enjoy your time here!
