The weather is hit or miss in November. It could very well be in the mid 70s and sunny; or it could be in the 50s and raining or anywhere in between. You can bet that the weather will be better than it is in Chicago that time of year. Other than partying at night -- there are many good restaurants (I suggest Dorado%26#39;s Baja Bar %26amp; Grill, Padre Island Brewing Co., and Kohnami for sushi), the beach is a must and the water is usually still warm enough to get in, horseback riding on the beach, parasailing, dolphin watches (Do one of these!), some shopping, but not much. A day trip to Mexico is also a lot of fun for some different shopping and food. If you want a hotel with all ammenities, the Radisson or Sheraton would be the choices and great rates that time of year. There is also a cute remodeled resort called The Palms Resort. Beautiful, quaint little cafe right on the beach, with a pool.

I think you have made a good choice is SPI. I am 46 and we really enjoy the island. Louies is a great sports bar you might check it out online. I%26#39;ve spent the last 3 Novs on the island and we had great weather. However I packed for cooler days and warm. Sheraton offers a wonderful Sunday brunch.
