New Collin Street Bakery store

If you have driven up I-45 recently through Corsicana, you have noticed the new Collin Street Bakery store at the Hwy 287 exit. We decided to try it for lunch yesterday since the billboards say they serve sandwiches.

Don%26#39;t go for the sandwiches. They were pre-made, lots of meat (I had pastrami, husband had turkey) but the bread is thin and even heated up, these are NOT worth $6. We tried a ham, onion, cheese scone- pretty good little snack. Good ice tea.

However, the bakery part is scrumptious. Pies, cakes, cookies, and OF COURSE fruit cake. There are also breads and danishes.

The store is a first for them so it is a work in progress. Obviously created to catch tour buses.

Thanks poodleone. My husband loves the fruit cake here, and this will be easier to get to then going into the town store.
