Relocating: Houston or Dallas?

I will soon have a degree in both video production and graphic design. I plan on relocating soon after college. Which city has the best job market/industry for my fields: Houston or Dallas?

I guess you should conduct a Monster job search, view the Houston Chronicle website, view Dallas local newspaper, contact a few performing arts venues or news stations, and research a few companies before your move. That way you will be able to decide if Houston or Dallas have openings in your field. I also recommend posting your resume to prospective employers before your move.

As a Houstonite in the same field, I hate to admit that Dallas has a much larger production market.

Unfortunately you%26#39;ll miss out on the great, unpretentious, multi-ethnic, food-rific, more liberal (for Texas at least) city of Houston! I mean - if you%26#39;re in Dallas - you may as well be in Oklahoma...
