Is this resonable?

We are coming to Ft. Worth for an overnight. After combing the forum I have decided on the Zoo and the stockyards. I have 8 and 9 year old girls. We will have 2 full days and just spend 1 night.

Does this sound resonable or is there another attraction that would be more appealing?

Thank you!

Is this resonable?

One thing to keep in mind with the Stockyards, at least for kids, is to be there when the Longhorn herd is being brought in or taken out (1130 and 1600). Also, there is a bit of shopping but I think most kids would enjoy spending a little time in Billy Bob%26#39;s, esp. Friday or Saturday night to watch the bullriding. Or the Stockyards Rodeo, same nights. A little planning will keep them from thinking the Stockyards is nothing but walking around looking at stuff.

Another alternate activity is the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame in the Museum District- not an all day event but maybe something to do along with the zoo.

Is this resonable?

One more thing- if it is pretty weather, the Botanical Gardens with the Japanese Garden is a cool place to go- you can feed the koi. Lots of pretty areas to see and a good walk.

Sounds reasonable to me. And I love the Japanese Garden - it%26#39;s open later, so we usually do that after the zoo.

Or...we ride the Forest Park Train - it%26#39;s located on the road to the zoo entrance near University. I love this train; it stops in Trinity Park at the snack stand where we get a popcorn and soda.

Those would be fun activities for your kids. I%26#39;m with Poodleone at seeing the cattle drive and rodeo. Billy Bob%26#39;s allows kids, but they have to stick right with you, no going off to the bathroom independently.

And the stockyards isn%26#39;t a whole day event. I%26#39;d do the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in the early part of the day, then over to the Stockyards for the 4PM cattle drive, then the rodeo at Billy Bob%26#39;s or the regular rodeo.
