Some friends of mine are going to see if we can get decent seats to the upcoming NHL All Star game in Dallas. If we don%26#39;t, we want to hang at a good sports bar in the area. Any recommendations?
By ';good sports bar,'; I mean something with a fair number of TVs, decent prices, lively chatter, and perhaps the occasional lovely lass to gaze upon for a spell.
Also, the place doesn%26#39;t have to be right on top of AAC, just within a couple of miles.
Great sports bars near American Airlines Center?
I have friends who like Frankie%26#39;s on McKinney Ave.

There is a Hooters in close proximity of AA Center.
And for those easily offended by Hooters, D*cks Last Resort is next door they will insult you in whole different way :-) There are a few other sports type bars further up in the West End such as Gators.
The Metro Grill in the Knox Henderson area is a really nice hangout with lots of TVs, the upscale young crowd, and easy to get to from downtown.
I%26#39;m from out of townand am going to the all star game next week. I went to the game in 2003 in Florida and they had a hugh beer garden. Is anything like that planned for this year?

San Francisco Rose isn%26#39;t necessarily right next to AAC but it%26#39;s in the area. Off of Greenville.
there are lots of sports bars in the immediate area, no reason to go too far.
all of these are on mckinney, within a couple of miles of the AAC:
mckinney avenue tavern - personal favorite
frankie%26#39;s
christie%26#39;s
uptown pub
knox street pub
the corner bar
most of the other bars in the area have tv%26#39;s, but aren%26#39;t necessarily designated as ';sports bars';...sometimes if those are all really crowded you can get a table at the loon, which has a big screen and about 8 other tv%26#39;s.
