A group of us are going on a cruise. We are purchasing are own air because the price royal caribbean gave us was crazy. Even the shuttle service is $95 per person. There is eight in our group. Should we rent a couple of cars, town car, taxi???? We are coming in the night before and staying a hotel near the port. Any suggestions??

There have been several previous posters on this that you might want to search for. Enterprise apparently has a one-way rental program for the cruises, ezconnections.com I believe is a shuttle to check out. Texan shuttle is another that I recently found out about.

I think I remember someone saying that the Holiday Inn on the Seawall did. There is also the Wyndham Tremont Hotel close to the cruise area.
A word of caution because I can%26#39;t remember what cruise line it is, but double check that you are cruising from Galveston and not La Porte.

A limo would be a great way to go. If there is a group of you going you may be able to split the cost evenly and pay less than you would for a cab or shuttle service. For example, if the limo fee is $100 and there are 10 of you, that%26#39;s only $10 per person. Something to think about....
