shopping in San Antonio

Coming from a remote Northern Canadian town I%26#39;m exciting about being in San Antonio for a week. I%26#39;d like to go shopping and will be staying downtown. As I%26#39;m in town for work I don%26#39;t have alot of time but would like to fit in a little shopping. I%26#39;ll be staying downtown, probably on the riverwalk, and won%26#39;t have a car. I%26#39;d like to know where, and if, I can find all the big names in one spot? Target (I keep hearing how great and cheap it is), Pottery Barn, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, etc.

Does such a place exist in San Antonio?

You can find some of those types of stores at the RiverCenter Mall, which is downtown on the Riverwalk. Also, for unique gifts try La Villita: http://lavillita.com/ The nearest Target would be far away from downtown and would require some type of transport. here%26#39;s information on the bus system: http://www.viainfo.net/Ride/Default.aspx There is a bus that goes to the Quarry Market - north of downtown just off 281. http://www.quarrymarket.com/ this outdoor strip mall has many shops such as Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Whole Foods, Pier 1 Imports, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, etc....... on the VIA info website there%26#39;s a personal trip planner. i found that if you can get to the Quarry Market by taking the #5 bus from downtown %26amp; transfer to #505 bus at Basse Rd %26amp; McCullough. (please double-check me on that) If the shops on the Quarry Market website don%26#39;t sound great, then there%26#39;s plenty of other places to shop in San Antonio like the Shops at La Canterra. There is a Target just down the highway from the Quarry Market. Here%26#39;s the address: 8421 US Highway 281 N San Antonio, TX 78216 [phone]: (210) 375-0332
