la quinta hotelThere are 2 La Quinta Hotels there, the one at 1402 Seawall will be better for walking to things. Galveston Island is fairly small, and there is a trolley there to get you around if you don%26#39;t have a car. Lots of restaurants and tourist shops all along the seawall.
la quinta hotelDefinitely go for the one on 14th and Seawall, the other one is well, uhm, lacking in decent people. The one on 14th has a Denny%26#39;s right there for breakfast and the folks there are friendly and will point you in the right direction as far as food and fun go. If you get stuck at the other La Quinta there is one breakfast place and an Exxon where the Bums sit and drink and beg. It is foul in that area, beware.
